This school year the program will further expand to include many more high schools throughout the county. The seat belt challenge involves schools receiving the Survival 101 education program for High Schools and presents awards to the high schools who have the greatest increase in seat belt usage and the school with the highest seat belt usage rate. Last year´s winner was Villa Joseph Marie High School located in Holland PA. The seat belt challenge was started in Bucks County by Bob Johns, Community Traffic Safety Coordinator, and has now spread to different areas of the state.Due to the increase in the number of schools participating, Buckle Up PA is requesting that officers from the municipalities in the county present the program at the schools. School Districts that are participating include, but are not limited to, Bristol Township Schools, Pennsbury School District, Council Rock School District, Central Bucks School District, and several Catholic High Schools.
