If you are certified in the use of the CDR you can call to make arraingements for pick up or delivery of the unit. Jeff Petucci of the Hollidaysburg (Blair County) Barracks, presented a Survival 101 programs to the Driver Ed classes at Tyrone High School. The presentations took place on 1/28/10 & 1/29/10. Tpr. Petucci presented four classes each day and a total of 135 students were presented with the program. Ford City Boro ENRADD TrainingPosted By: Alan Puccetti on 12 November As a result of Ford City Boro Armstrong County borrowing an ENRADD unit hosted by an Aggressive Driving department, they were able to secure a grant that permitted them to obtain their own unit. All full-time and part-time officers attended an ENRADD training, which was held at Ford City Boro Volunteer Fire Department Number 1. All of the part-time officers are employed at other departments both in Armstrong & neighboring counties, including Manor Township, West Kittanning Boro, New Bethlehem Boro. Chuck Pepper, Coordinator of Child Accounting & Safe Schools invited the Area 6 Team to address school administrators do to a recent increase of fatal & serious injury crashes that involved student drivers and school buses. The administrators shared their views on teen crashes and guided a discussion on possible solutions. The group would like to see the Survival 101 program brought into the schools. Participating departments were Adams & Croyle Townships. Location- Route 819, in front of St. Michael´s V.F.D. All 717 vehicles going through the checkpoint received the CIOT & We Check For DUI pamphlets. Our Program is Working. Violations are also down as there is greater compliance of drivers within the township as a “reputation” has been established for our aggressive enforcement.
