Community Traffic Safety Program for Region 6

The Community Traffic Safety Programs focus on highway safety issues occurring in their respective counties. These focus areas include, but are not limited to: Aggressive Driving, Impaired Driving, Occupant Protection, Youth Drivers, Pedestrian Safety, and Bicycle Safety. The Community Traffic Safety Program Coordinators can assist police departments with school programs, public awareness, equipment, and other resources pertaining to Highway Safety.

Traffic Safety Checkpoint
Pittsburgh Police department in Allegheny County conducted a Traffic Safety Checkpoint along Rt. 279 the Parkway West, during the May Mobilization. Several citations were issued for motor vehicle violations.

Beaver Police department located in Beaver County, conducted a Traffic Safety Checkpoint during the May Mobilization. Several citations were issued for motor vehicle code violations. The checkpoint was near a local school.

North Huntington Police departments located in Westmoreland county conducted a Traffic Safety Checkpoint during the May Mobilization. Several motor vehicle violations were observed and cited.
